The Foundation recently hosted a fundraising reception with best-selling author Erik Larson. Guests were treated to wonderful stories about his books, and each received an autographed copy of In the Garden of Beasts.

Cincinnati Bell again graciously donated tickets to the Reds vs. Astros game on April 29th. Attendees were treated to the awesome views and food on the Cincinnati Bell Riverboat Deck in center field. Tickets sold out in 3 hours to excited Library staff members in support of the Foundation. The Reds provided a fantastic show beating the Astros 6-5! Thanks to all for supporting the Library Foundation.

On February 13, the Pleasant Ridge Branch Library re-opened to the public after a ceremony to celebrate the completion of its $1.5 million Accessibility Project.

 

 

On February 13, the Pleasant Ridge Branch Library re-opened to the public after a ceremony to celebrate the completion of its $1.5 million Accessibility Project. This project opened the branch library’s doors to everyone by adding an alternative entrance and elevator as well as altering the floor plan and bathrooms to remove any physical barriers to library service.

Given the severely restricted availability of capital funds in the Library’s budget, this project would not be possible without additional private funding. More than 850 individual gifts were made in support of this project-ranging from a few dollars to $40,000 contributed by the Library Foundation.
