In December 2010, the Library hired Melissa (Missy) H. Deters as its Executive Director. As the Foundation’s first staff member, she will handle all administrative and fundraising duties including the Annual Fund and Endowment. Missy brings more than 25 years of fundraising experience to her new position. She also served on the Library Foundation Board and was actively involved in the fundraising and event planning for the Library’s successful levy campaign in 2009. Lifelong Cincinnati residents, Missy and her husband, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters, have always found the Library to be an incredible resource for their family.
“The Library is such an integral and important part of our community,” Missy comments. “I’m honored to serve as the Foundation’s Executive Director, and I look forward to ensuring a bright future for our Library system and the customers who depend on it.”
