Who We Are

The Library Foundation is dedicated to ensuring a great library system by raising, managing and allocating funds to expand and enhance the collections, programs, and services of our library. The Foundation is an independent, nonprofit organization and gifts are tax deductible.

The Library Foundation is vitally important because annual State funding has significantly declined since 2000, making it a daily challenge just to keep branches open and materials up to date. Even with local taxpayer support, continuing our tradition of adopting the newest technologies, purchasing the most complete set of materials, and constantly improving services is becoming impossible. With further funding cuts expected in the future, we will not be able to leave future generations the same quality library that lighted our path of learning and discovery.

The Library also has other groups that support special events and programs such as The Friends, Anderson Township Library Association, and Volunteers.
